Find out what makes a southern summer safari in Botswana so special during this presentation with award-winning Nat Hab Expedition Leader Thuto Moutloatse, named “Best Safari Guide on the Planet” by Outside magazine. While summer brings fewer visitors to Botswana than the drier winter season, it’s full of surprises for safari-goers. This is Botswana’s most productive time of year, when light rains bring fresh grass to the Kalahari Desert, and new animal births fill the plains. More clouds in the sky mean dramatic backdrops and sunsets for photographers, too. Thuto will share personal stories and images of his homeland with a special emphasis on the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve in the Okavango Delta, sustaining some of Africa’s most dramatic populations of big game. Its tree-dotted plains are home to lion, leopard, spotted hyena and African wild dog, as well as enormous elephant herds. Join Thuto to discover all that makes Botswana’s green season so entrancing!
