Copyright trolls are entities or individuals who scour the internet for the purpose of finding copyright infringements, no matter how slight. These predators primarily target unwitting breaches where images, music, or text have been used without proper permission or license.

Recently, the copyright trolls have been targeting travel agencies.

The law offices of Laurence Gore have launched a low-cost program specifically to protect travel agencies with a Safe Harbor registration with the United States Copyright Office.

Thanks to the Safe Harbor provisions, website owners aren’t immediately held liable for the actions of third parties. Instead, they are given the opportunity to correct the issues by removing the offending content – a grace period – without incurring a penalty, provided you act in due course.
