You’ve probably heard recent news about India’s landmark successes in Bengal tiger conservation. Tiger populations are rising for the first time in a century. Seeing a wild tiger remains a rare and coveted encounter, and now you may have the best odds ever of spotting one. Join Nat Hab Expedition Leader Harsha Jayaramaiah, one of India’s top naturalists, for a virtual journey into Ranthambore National Park, the storied reserve that transformed the hunting grounds of Jaipur’s Maharajas into a safe haven for endangered tigers. This is a premier spot for tiger sightings, and we visit at prime time in summer before monsoon rains arrive, when tigers are forced into the open for water. Along the way, we keep an eye peeled for sloth bear, sambar, jungle cat, chinkara gazelle, wild boar, crocodile, peacocks, langur monkeys and more. This is the truly wild side of India!
