Click to RegisterYou may not be familiar with the beauty and history of Canada’s Atlantic coastline, but to the Mi’kmaq and Maliseet First Nations people, fishermen, settlers, caribou, whales, and even 11th-century Vikings, the magic of this area is no secret. To ensure that you don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind destination, we’re hosting a webinar to share some of the stunning beauty and culture of this region.
Along with Beth Mercier, our Director of Explorer Cruises, Canadian tourism experts René Trépanier and Brian Webb will be discussing highlights of our spring 2018 itineraries to Canada’s Atlantic coastline. If it’s culture you seek, they’ll talk about the urban charm of Halifax, Atlantic Canada’s ‘gateway’ city, and the bucolic appeal of Prince Edward Island, where Lucy Maud Montgomery created Anne of Green Gables. You can even get a taste of Europe (and fresh baguettes!) on the French territory of St. Pierre and Miquelon. Want beauty? You’ll hear about the red sandstone cliffs of Île de la Madeleine and the most photographed lighthouse in Canada. Desire something active? Learn about hiking in the Tablelands of Bonne Bay and exploring Cap-aux-Meules by bicycle. Have an urge to get back to nature? You’ll hear about Bonaventure Island birdwatching and some of the best whale-watching in the world. After discovering all there is to see and experience on Canada’s Atlantic Coast, we think that you’ll agree that there’s never been a better time to visit our neighbors to the north.
