Meet the World’s Greatest Concentration of Polar Bears
Tue March 3, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm EST
For more than 30 years, Nat Hab has been taking travelers to see the polar bear migration on the western shores of Hudson Bay near Churchill, Manitoba. Each fall, dozens of bears congregate on the edge of this Canadian outpost town where they wait for the sea ice to form–their platform for hunting seals in winter. We observe them as they wander the open tundra, on view from our Polar Rovers and the exclusive Tundra Lodge, which puts you in the polar bear’s terrain around the clock. No wildlife encounter surpasses the thrill of meeting the world’s largest carnivore — albeit an awfully charming and cuddly one! See for yourself on this virtual tour to Churchill with Nat Hab Founder and President Ben Bressler and Court Whelan, Expedition Leader and Director of Sustainability. And while nothing can compare with actually being in Churchill, you’ll get an enticing preview from Ben and Court. Learn why no one surpasses Nat Hab for top-quality polar bear expeditions, with the smallest groups, best guides, most impressive custom vehicles, and diverse itineraries – all of which offer a slate of northern adventures, including dog sledding. Find out, too, about what our conservation travel partner WWF is doing to protect polar bears in a rapidly changing Arctic.
